Business Owner FAQ

No. We want to help locally owned businesses grow so there is no cost to business owners to be included. The only thing we ask is you offer a discount or exclusive offer for your small business to be featured in Local Savings Pass.

We don’t have a short answer for this one. 

  1. There is no cost to your business to include an offer. If no one redeems your offer it didn’t cost you anything.
    Say 100 people redeem your offer at an average sale of $75, you just made $7,500 you may not have made. What if 500 people redeem the offer? 
  2. One of our target audiences is military and those new to the area, so we are helping them learn about your business. 
  3. We may promote your business on our social media pages as a date night or family fun activity.
  4. If you are included in the digital savings pass and have events, please tag or message us so we can share those in our stories to help spread the word about your events.
  5. Backlinking. This is very important with SEO. Having your business included helps with local SEO as we will be linking over to your website.

Each business who includes an offer will have their business featured on the following pages:

  • In the directory (access to the directory is only available to members).
  • On the main website, each business will be listed on the savings pass page so those looking to purchase the pass can see what businesses are offering.
  • On the date night & family fun page (available to members only). We have created a year of dates & adventures supporting locally owned businesses. After we give an idea for the date night or family activity, we have a list of businesses who are offering a savings. We don’t tell people they have to eat at a certain restaurant or they have to take a candle making class, we lay the foundation for the date, then they choose where they will have the date. The great things is, they can do the date month after month supporting many local businesses.

It’s your choice. Here are some examples businesses are doing:

  • Buy 1 Get 1 Free
  • Free dessert with purchase of 2 entrees
  • % off off your entire bill, purchase or class
  • Free appetizer with purchase or 2 entrees
  • $ off admission
  • Secret menu item
  • Exclusive date night offer
  • Some businesses are using the discount they offer to military personal as their discount

Each coupon in the member portal may be redeemed once per year, per account.

When someone visits your businesses and they show their digital savings pass to your employee, your employee will click the redeem button or ask the customer to click it. Once clicked, the button will confirm they want to redeem the offer now. Once they click yes, the offer will be redeemed and that offer will no longer be available unless they renew their savings pass.

We will also be sending a newsletter once a month to members. In the newsletter, many local businesses are including a special offer for the month or an additional offer a few times a year. If you would like to be included in an upcoming email, send us an email. We ask for 4 weeks notice to be included.

When someone visits your businesses they will need to show their digital savings pass to your employee (the pass is on the customers phone), your employee will click the redeem button or ask the customer to click it. Once clicked, the button will confirm they want to redeem the offer now. Once they click yes, the offer will be redeemed and that offer will no longer be available unless they renew their savings pass.

Say you are offering 10% off their purchase or meal. After you have clicked the redeem button in their account, you would then take the 10% off their bill within your POS.

At this time the Date Night Virginia & Local Savings Pass is available for purchase online. We are working with some Chamber of Commerces and CVBs both in Virginia and other states to implement the pass in other cities. 

Since our goal is to support locally owned businesses, you will need to be locally owned.

If you have a locally owned small business send us a message on Instagram or send us an email and we will send you the contract. When sending the contract back, please include a photo of your business for your listing. You may also include a date night idea people could do when supporting your business. Once we have received your contract, we will get you added to the savings pass.

Yes. We have a contract you will sign stating what your offer is and any other details you would like to include. Your contract is valid for one year. After that, the contract renews monthly until you ask us to remove your special from the local savings pass or you ask to change your offer. If you would like to change your offer at anytime, please send us an email. We ask that you allow 48 business hours for us to make that update.
